Hasbro Tour at Botcon 2007
Chrissy and I are going to Botcon 2007 in Rhode Island this month. The big thing at Botcon this year will be a tour of the Hasbro Headquarters near Providence. The first 400 people who registered for Botcon automatically got in for the tour, but there were only 500 available seats, so they had a raffle to determine the final 100 participants. The list came out today, and Chrissy is on it. Hurray for Chrissy!
Well, maybe not. Chrissy had said that it would be nice to take some time off while we’re in Rhode Island to do some vacationy things, like take a whale watching tour. I figured that we probably wouldn’t get picked in the raffle, so I looked into the whale watching thing. We could rent a car and be in Cape Cod in about an hour. I’m kinda looking forward to it.
Which brings up the dilemna. The Hasbro tour is non-transferrable, so I can’t sell it to someone. I could probably go in Chrissy’s place, but that would leave Chrissy alone in Providence when she would rather be whale watching. I’m thinking that I might rather be whale watching with her, especially since this might be my last year collecting transformers.
I would like to be able to sell our Hasbro tour ticket to someone else. I mean, I paid for it (it cost a lot to register for Botcon), so I should be able to sell it. It might also be possible to do the whale watching on another day, depending on the scheduling. We’ll have to see, but I definitely want to give Chrissy a day away from Transformers while we’re on vacation.
