It’s “Slice Open And Crawl Inside Your Tauntaun” Cold Outside
It was -45F degrees this morning with the wind chill. It was almost just as bad yesterday, but today is too much. At these extreme temperatures, exposed skin will burn within two minutes. Chrissy and I were talking about it this morning, and I joked that it was “slice open and crawl inside your tauntaun” cold outside. I saw that quote in a blog article yesterday and thought it was funny. What happened next shocked me.
Chrissy asked what a tauntaun was. Oh no she didn’t! “You know what a tauntaun is! On Hoth, Han Solo stuffs Luke Skywalker into a tauntaun and says, ‘This won’t smell good, kid, but it’ll keep you warm.’” Chrissy thinks for a moment and says, “Oh, that dead animal.” Yes, Chrissy, the dead animal. This is almost as bad as that video where the girl describes the Star Wars trilogy despite the fact that she had never seen it.
Chrissy has seen “Return of the Jedi” before. I’m going to get the entire saga as soon as it comes out on Blu-Ray DVD in a box set, preferrably packaged with a life-sized Yoda. I saw the first movie when I was four years old, so I think that Aiden will enjoy it when he’s a little older as well. In fact, today might be a good day to watch the entire first trilogy over again. It’s too cold to go outside, so let’s stay in and watch Star Wars!
