Hang In There… Of The Dead
It’s a proven fact that anything can be made better by tacking “of the dead” on the end of it (corollaries of this include “in bed” and “in my pants”). Maybe that’s just because I dig me some zombies? Just add walking corpses, and your favorite clichés become newer and awesomer. Take the “Hang In There!” kitten, toss in some zombies, and it’s that much better. See?
Chrissy and I watched “The Walking Dead” every week during their first season. It was amazing. I’ve never seen anything quite so graphic on regular cable before, and certainly not on a weekly show. The new season starts this Sunday, with twice as many episodes as the first. We can’t wait. To get my zombie fix early, I watched all twelve episodes of “High School Of The Dead” on Netflix.
High School Of The Dead is an anime series that focuses on a group of students during the outbreak of the Zombie Apocalypse. They kill the undead as society breaks down, the world crumbles, and zombies multiply. It’s really great for zombie fans, but this sort of anime has lots of panties and jiggly boobs, making it unlikely that Chrissy would enjoy it.
Don’t judge me! Anyway, I’m pretty sure that zombies are the new vampires. They’re growing in popularity and everyone has their own Zombie Contingency Plan (ZCP), right? I’m thinking that we should get a zombie party together. We could invite people over to watch the 90-minute season premiere of The Walking Dead on my giant TV. Any takers?
