The Legend Of Grimlock
Two video game stories caught my eye recently. The first showed off new game footage for “Transformers: Fall of Cybertron“, High Moon Studio’s followup to the phenomenal “War For Cybertron”. In the video, the Grimlock playable character is highlighted, smashing through a horde of enemy Insecticons. It’s pretty awesome, so now I have Grimlock on the brain.
Which leads me to the second story: a group of game developers started a Kickstarter program to build an old-school dungeon crawler. We don’t see many of those anymore, but apparently there’s a big enough demand for a good one. It reminds me of Ultima Underworld (1992), but prettier. The name is “The Legend of Grimrock“. You can imagine what I thought it said at first.
How cool would it be to see a version of Link To The Past with a little pixelated Grimlock walking around in it? It could happen, right? Nah? There have been rumors for the last year that a 3D version was in the works, but nothing about SPACE DINOSAURS. Anyway, enjoy my derivative pics of Grimlock versus Ganondorf.

I freaked out when I saw this.
I saw the little images and immediately tore apart google looking for for a ROM hack or something that had Grimlock in it. My searches came up thin to my dismay, then I actually read the text. Don’t worry, you’re not the only one with Grimlock on the brain.
